World's Smallest Bookstore?

In a recent visit to Hornby Island, British Columbia, I had the privilege of spending some time in what I think just might be the smallest bookstore in the world.  In the words of my late great grandmother, inside there isn't even enough room to swing a cat.  I'm not sure why you would want to "swing a cat."  I just know that it means the place is awfully small.  It's called 32 Books, although I can assure you there are far more than thirty-two books in this store.  This store proves that size is no barrier to quality!

Here's the challenge I'm throwing out to everyone.  Can anyone tell me about a bookstore that's even smaller than this one?  If so, I'd like to hear about it.

  4. The Worlds smallest book shop is in fact in Hawkshead - the prettiest village in the Lake District (That's England, UK). It is run by the National Trust and raises money to look after the beautiful countryside left to the nation by Beatrix Potter the author and illustrator, famously the creator of Peter Rabbit et al. The bookshop is open as often as we have volunteers and is housed in the tiny 'lock up shop' (less than 80sq ft)that Beatrix illustrated as Tabitha Twitchett's shop in The Tale of The Pie & The Patty Pan. Books are all donated, there's a fabulous selection from signed first editions and vintage paperbacks to hard to find obscure texts and modern holiday reading fodder - something for everyone and always a friendly welcome. Be sure to drop in next time you're passing!
